The Oxbow Center, centrally located in Southwest Virginia, is proud to be in historic St. Paul, “Where The Coalfields Meet the Bluegrass.” The Oxbow Visitor Information Center provides local and regional tourism information and brochures for visitors to the area. The friendly, smiling staff are here to greet and assist all who visit.
The Information Center is open to visitors from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists traveling by on Alternate Route 58 are encouraged to stop by for information regarding local and regional attractions, events, lodging, and restaurants. Brochures are available for the Virginia counties of Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell, Dickenson, Buchanan and Tazewell as well as the cities of Norton, Big Stone Gap, and the town of St. Paul.
The Oxbow Center is
accessible with ample parking space for large groups or tour buses and clean
restrooms.
Located next door is St. Paul’s A.R. Matthews Park with picnic spots and the scenic Clinch River, home to rare fresh water mussels.
